Taxation Accountant – Long-standing Accounting Firm
Cadwallader Marinucci Veal & Co is seeking a senior Taxation Accountant to join its strong team.
The role
Reporting to the partners, your responsibilities in this role will include:
- preparing BAS and financial statements, income tax returns for all entities including companies, trusts, SMSF, partnerships and individuals and other statutory compliance.
- building and developing strong client relationships, as well as providing additional value services.
- working closely with clients on tax advice, bookkeeping matters and business support including assistance with software.
- liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies.
- training, mentoring and developing junior staff and accountants.
- working closely with the partners and other accountants contributing to team projects.
What you will need
This position will suit an accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience within an Australian accounting practice. You will have a Business or Commerce Degree (majoring in Accounting) and have completed your CA or CPA qualification or working towards qualification.
An understanding of Handisoft and other accounting software experience is essential.
You will possess a commercial, proactive approach, offer strong communication and interpersonal skills and have a passionate and positive mindset where you will enjoy the work and the team.
You will be able to work autonomously with strong time management skills and have a desire to continually develop and learn and be a team player.
