What does it look like to be a Teacher Aide with AQ?
Our P-12 independent Sunnybank school’s inter-disciplinary team of Specialist Teachers, Aides and Allied Health Professionals works in a collaborative, supporting environment tapping into our market leading research to provide quality education to students on the autism spectrum.
Utilising functional skills and assessments, this role requires our Teacher Aides to provide support in a class of six students with neurodiverse affirming practices and principles across a range of environments. There will be a focus on enhancing the wellbeing and holistic growth of young people through the development of supportive learning environments, quality communication and effective classroom management.
If you've got experience in the field of Autism, a Cert III in Education support or equivalent qualification, and a passion for children's education then why wait?

- Proven knowledge of child development, communication, social interaction, learning and understanding and managing behavior
- Proven ability to maintain work quality and performance during tight schedules
- Experience with students on the autism spectrum and/or with special needs
- Experience with educational programs which may include self-care, toileting, feeding and social skills
