Job description

Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH882462

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024

Shorehaven Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher – Early Childhood Education to join its Early Childhood team and provide our young students with the best possible start to their educational journey.

Shorehaven PS is located at the northern tip of Alkimos and will have a catchment area that includes students from the Shorehaven, Amberton Beach and Alkimos Vista estates.

The successful applicant would help create a school environment that is positive, safe and instructionally focused whilst providing engaging classroom communities which are personalised to support the success of each and every learner. The applicant should ideally possess the skills required to build and then maintain productive relationships with all members of the school community.

Ideally applicants should be able to provide examples of outstanding pedagogy and knowledge of contemporary whole-school practices which are applicable to an Early Childhood classroom. Evidence of a commitment towards collaborative practices encompassing the whole teaching, learning and assessment cycle would benefit applications.

Shorehaven PS is using a whole-school positive behaviour approach as a base for its code of conduct. Whilst knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model is not essential, strong behaviour management skills will be highly regarded to help develop a positive school culture. Equally regarded will be applicant’s ability to use Information Communication Technology (ICT) to both enhance learning and communication.
