Teacher - English

We are seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative teacher to join the Austin Cove Baptist College Secondary School community. The position will be full time commencing at the beginning of Term 2.

The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in Years 7-11 English, no ATAR experience needed. 

The successful candidate will have a solid work ethic, friendly nature and be conscientious, committed Christians.

The College

Austin Cove Baptist College of South Yunderup is a co-educational College that commenced in 2011 and currently has approximately 750 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College is situated in the Austin Lakes development just east of Mandurah and provides a high standard of education within a Christian context. Selection Criteria

Essential

• To have a personal faith and commitment to Jesus including regular church attendance and a lifestyle consistent with the expectations of Christian faith
• Be a qualified teacher registered with the TRBWA, hold a Working With Children Check and have a commitment to child safety and well - being

Highly Desired Qualities

• Be highly motivated and organised
• Have demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum requirements set by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority
• Have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs from Year 7-12
• Be approachable, a good listener and an effective communicator
• Have a commitment to pastoral care and extracurricular activities
