Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/TCH885474

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2024

Warwick Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our high performing English team.

The successful applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills and will ideally be capable of creating high quality, effective teaching and learning experiences for students in English. The desire to invest in developing positive working relationships with students, parents and colleagues is a key focus for Warwick SHS staff. The successful applicant will ideally be able to teach English from Years 7 to Year 10 as well as Australia Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), General and Foundation courses as part of the Senior School curriculum.

The Warwick SHS STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) program has been recognised locally and nationally as an outstanding program and the desire to contribute to and participate in STEAM activities is highly desirable.

Warwick SHS is an Independent Public School located in the northern suburbs of Perth. Ideally situated, it is a school with a strong tradition of academic excellence. The school provides a mix of traditional and innovative programs. It offers courses leading to tertiary studies, TAFE traineeships and apprenticeships and the workplace. We encourage staff to share knowledge, and a culture of reflection and self-improvement is promoted amongst our staff through our Instructional Program and Professional Learning Communities. The successful applicant may be required to teach other subject areas depending on the business needs of the school. Surrounded by natural bushland, Warwick SHS is a school with a growing population of students coming from a number of different locations in the northern suburbs.
