Moree Secondary College is situated on Gamilaroi country and is part of the Connected Communities Strategy. It services the students from the agricultural region surrounding and within the township of Moree (town population 7,000). Our college will be consolidating into one site at the commencement of the 2024 school year.
The college is committed to creating connected classrooms with staff who have completed targeted professional learning to strengthen their knowledge and understanding of assessment capable visible learners. Approximately 67% of our college students identify as Aboriginal. We continue to create strong connections with the school community to improve attendance and engagement inclusive of Moree community groups, Moree Local AECG, and external agencies.
Our college is located in the centre of Moree which also hosts outstanding recreation, sporting, banking, performing arts, and shopping facilities. You can travel daily by air and train to Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Sydney, and by bus to Brisbane.
- Approval to teach FTY - Food Technology and willingness to teach VHF Hospitality-Food and Beverage.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver Hospitality or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Hospitality.
- Demonstrated capacity to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and school community.
