Job description

Gilmore College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Home Economics - Hospitality Teacher.The successful applicant should have high expectations, with a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and have the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. You should be a flexible and adaptive teacher, able to apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching using the Gilmore College Whole School Instructional Model.Applicants with the ability to teach Home Economics across all year levels from Years 7 to 12 are encouraged to apply. A Certificate IV TAE and Cert II in Hospitality are highly desirable.The successful applicant will ideally possess strong communication and interpersonal skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community.You will ideally build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students.Gilmore College is an Independent public school which opened in 2008 continuing 52 previous years of secondary education provided by Kwinana Senior High School.
