John Forrest Secondary College (SC) is seeking an engaging and innovative Italian teacher who has the passion and commitment to enable students to achieve their best educational outcomes.
The successful applicant should design learning opportunities that provide students with essential communication skills in Italian, intercultural capability, and an understanding of the role of language and culture in communication.
We are seeking a highly reflective teacher whose practice is underpinned by the commitment to building positive working relationships with colleagues, students and parents. Staff across the college enjoy a positive staff culture of collegiality and support, and opportunities for subject specific collaboration are also available locally through the Morley Schools Network Languages group, the leader of which is a teacher of Italian and has a strong working relationship with our college. The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop the Italian program at the college beyond the current Year 7 & 8 program.
At John Forrest SC education is a shared vision and commitment to fostering exceptional learning experiences for students and staff. Dedicated to the growth of our staff, we offer support and resources to develop your skills and aspirations, with a strong emphasis on professional development.
We have a multicultural and linguistically diverse student cohort and offer a comprehensive range of educational pathways that cater to diverse student needs and aspirations. These include delivery of endorsed programs, Australian Tertiary Admission Rank, General and Vocational Education and Training courses. Together with our co-curricular activities and clubs, this provides staff and students with opportunities to pursue and lead in their areas of passion and interest.
Our college community values education and celebrates diversity, taking every opportunity to celebrate the unique strengths of each individual. This foundation of inclusivity creates a culture of achievement and success where every member is supported and encouraged to excel.
As we reach the completion of our extensive building redevelopment program, opportunities emerge to further enrich the already vibrant and dynamic learning experiences of both students and staff.
