Barramurra Public School is a newly established primary school, opening at the commencement of 2021, located in the suburb of Oran Park in South Western Sydney.
The school has a current enrolment of 1047 students. The school features innovative teaching and learning spaces designed to support engaging and explicit teaching, communication, and genuine understanding of subject matter. Barramurra Public School serves a rapidly growing multicultural community, with 59% of our students having a language background other than English. 1. Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education
2. Outstanding ability to promote and manage a library that functions as a learning hub for the school and engages, inspires and extends all learners.
3. Demonstrated skills to work flexibly and collaboratively with staff and students to design and deliver engaging and research-based teaching and learning practices across all Key Learning Areas, including the authentic integration of digital technologies and resources.
4. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with an ability to build a positive and effective relationship with students, staff, parents and the community.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.
This is a permanent part-time position for 3 days per week 0.6 FTE (Full-time equivalent)
