Marayong Public School is situated in Western Sydney. The school has a student population of approximately 618 students, including seven support classes (made up of students with autism, mild and moderate intellectual disabilities) and a preschool that caters for 80 students. Our school demographics include 66% of students from Non-English-Speaking Backgrounds, comprising of 29 nationalities, 46 different languages and 42 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Our school reflects a diversity of socioeconomic circumstances.
Whole school priorities our currently being finalised using a rigorous self-assessment process and consultation with our local community. The strategic directions will include: Student growth and attainment in literacy and numeracy and Student Wellbeing. In 2024, the whole school will focus on reading and mathematics with an emphasis on explicit teaching and direct instruction.
