SalaryMiller Technology High School is situated in the south-west of Sydney in a diverse and culturally rich community. The school has a student population of around 750 with 85% from Language Backgrounds Other than English (LBOTE) and 9% Aboriginal students. There is an Intensive English Centre (IEC) onsite providing English instruction and cultural orientation for new arrivals, refugees, and international students.
The Support Unit, established in 2015, comprises of four classes for students with mild or moderate intellectual disabilities or a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Programs promote students reaching their full potential and transitioning into post school opportunities.
The school has a strong focus on quality teaching, literacy, numeracy, engagement and connected learning to meet the needs of all students. Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) has a high profile within the school to provide education in a safe and friendly learning environment.

Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, Community and Family Studies, Sport, Lifestyle & Recreation and Physical Activity & Sport Studies.
- Capacity to differentiate curriculum to meet the needs of students from diverse and low socioeconomic communities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support the delivery of school initiatives as part of an enthusiastic faculty team.
- Capacity for effective classroom management and student wellbeing practices that support an inclusive learning environment that promotes positive relationships with students.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
