Camden High School is a fully comprehensive coeducational High School that caters to approximately 1005 students, including 74 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students, as well as 7 special education classes for students with identified learning needs. Our school has strong ties to the local community and is highly regarded for the broad range of opportunities and social experiences offered to the students. We pride ourselves on our ability to support students in their transition into post school pathways through traineeships, employment and tertiary education options. We are one of the largest providers of school-based traineeships in the region and offer extensive opportunities for student to pursue vocational education pathways through the Macarthur Trade Training Centre arrangement. In Years 7 and 8, we offer an academically selective class, which provides scope to extend these students in their educational abilities as well as a fully supervised HSC Hub to support senior students striving for academic excellence in their Higher School Certificate exams. Camden High School has a strong sporting culture, especially through the sporting exchange program with Cowra High School, which has been running for over 50 years. We also encourage students to pursue agricultural, technological, creative arts and performing arts experiences at school. School priorities include wellbeing, literacy, numeracy, Aboriginal education, as well as engagement and future focused learning.
