- Approval to teach special education/and or experience teaching students in a multistage K-6 setting with additional learning needs including mental health disorders, emotional disturbances, behavioural difficulties, intellectual difficulties, autism and other complex learning and support needs with a trauma-informed approach to teaching.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in using a range of flexible classroom management and wellbeing approaches to cater for the communication, sensory, social and emotional needs of students in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team, building positive relationships with students, staff, parents, external agencies and members of the wider community.
- Outstanding classroom practice delivering quality engaging and differentiated learning experiences to students with complex learning needs that incorporate personalised learning and behaviour support plans.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families and an ability to partner with staff and the wider community to support positive student outcomes.
