Your Opportunity

We are seeking dynamic and innovative Educators (teacher or tutor) to achieve outstanding results as a part of our industry leading, renowned organisation! This is a wonderful opportunity to share your education knowledge and expertise, support our students' skills and development and make a real difference.

As a key member of the teaching and delivery team, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning services to a wide range of clients through:

• Outcome focused vocational education and training (VET) programs;
• Linking with industry, schools, universities, other TAFE and VET providers;
• Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies;
• Working in an environment of change and continuous improvement; and
• Making Great Happen!

TAFE Queensland regularly has vacancies (short and long term) for educators in various qualification delivery areas. This Talent Pool may be open for up to 4 months and is for opportunities as they become available.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements

a. Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed (or equivalent); across a range of Automotive, Engineering, Building and Industry areas including:

• Automotive (Light, Heavy Commercial, Diesel and Electric Vehicle)
• Engineering (Metal Fabrication, Mechanical)
• Manufacturing and Applied Technologies
• Building (Plumbing, Carpentry, Furnishing)
• Utilities (Electrotechnology and Refrigeration)
• Civil (Construction and Road)

b. Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials: 

• TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
• TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools;
• TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training;
• TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor;
• TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development;
• TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor;
• Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

c.  Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;

d. Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;

e. Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
