About the role:
A fantastic opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as one of our Teacher- VM (VCAL)! This position will be offered on a part-time basis.
This role forms part of our Schools Unit here at Box Hill Institute where we offer the VCE VM and VPC programs with flexible timetables and online or on-campus delivery options.
Within this role you will be creating and teaching interactive, modern and innovative content and assessments while delivering in a supportive, warm and comprehensive manner.
With a focus on delivering experiences that prepare students for lifelong success, you will bring out the full potential of each student to navigate between education and employment pathways.
About You:
• An approved 4-year teaching or a postgraduate qualification which includes an adult or secondary specialisation teaching method, and a supervised teaching practicum
OR
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education
AND
• Relevant industry qualifications and an AQF 5 or higher vocational qualification
• Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) full registration (desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in planning and researching for the preparation of programs and learning materials including the ability to select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools that would ensure a successful training program
• Experience developing a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards
• Proficient in the use of student management systems for attendance tracking, results and student details
• High level and demonstrated ability to deliver logical and engaging course lessons and materials. Experience in managing difficult and sensitive topics and questions
