Wowan is a small town an hour from the city of Rockhampton. In its heyday, Wowan was known as the dairy capital of the region. The industry in the town has now diversified with cattle, hay, grain, pork and eggs all produced in the region. The town is bursting with history showcased at the old butter factory, repurposed into a museum to display town memorabilia. Wowan is a fantastic place to live and work within the region, it provides the ability to experience the best of rural life all within a comfortable driving distance of larger towns such as Rockhampton.

Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
