Mountains Christian College is situated on 16 hectares in Blackheath in the Blue Mountains and overlooks the beautiful Kanimbla Valley. The College caters for approximately 200 students, K – 12 with a vision ‘to develop young people of character, compassion and purpose through Christ’.
MCC is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teachers’ Aide to assist teaching staff in our Primary school, commencing Term 2, 2024.
The ideal applicant will have a dynamic proactive approach to supporting students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and a willingness to immerse themselves in College life. They should have strong literacy and numeracy skills and it would be advantageous to have experience with assessments and intervention programs used in schools.
Successful candidates should be able to:
· assist in preparation and maintenance of resources to provide learning experiences;
· collaborate with teachers to adjust classroom programs to meet the learning needs of students;
· contribute to the NCCD process, particularly around moderation and collection of evidence;
· exhibit well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage with students, parents and staff;
· demonstrate exemplary organisational and communication skills;
· possess appropriate qualifications or be prepared to undertake training in this area;
· agree to the College’s Statement of Beliefs and provide a current WWCC.
