The Southport School’s Preparatory School provides an outstanding education for boys. We are looking for a motivated, capable and experienced educational assistant who can provide a quality education support service. As a member of the Education Support team, the Teaching Assistant will work closely with classroom teachers, and learning support staff to enhance learning in years R-6.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed professional who displays a high level of organisational and interpersonal skills and is available to work Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm daily – this is a term time, part-time (32.5 hours per week) position.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with a demonstrated track record in supporting the diverse learning needs of students in the primary context. Professional Development in the areas of THRASS and Multilit programs will be highly regarded.
Candidates must hold, or be willing to provide:
- a Certificate III and/or IV in Education Support
- a Working with Children BlueCard
- a current First Aid Certificate
- a recent Criminal History Check certificate, and
Candidates are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anglican Ethos of the School and may be asked to provide a criminal history check certificate.
