The role
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to step into the role of Team Lead, Accounts Payable on a Temporary Full-time basis. As a key player in our finance department, you will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless and compliant Accounts Payable Services for the Department of Health.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Demonstrated working knowledge in the use of contemporary financial management information technology, and other software applications (e.g., databases, spreadsheets) relevant to an Accounts Payable function.
- Demonstrated ability to research and review information to assist decision-making, including the ability to utilize relevant financial accounting systems together with experience in review and interpretation of information and in formulating recommendations to management.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and procedures applicable to the Accounts Payable function consistent with Queensland Health and other government agency directives.
- Ability to set priorities, allocate and monitor workloads so that data integrity is achieved in accordance with system requirements and Accounting Standards.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to apply them in managing the daily operations of a team focused on providing a high-quality service to clients across the state.
