The role You will play a crucial role in leading and managing our Accounts Payable team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient delivery of Accounts Payable Services to the Hospital and Health Services, emphasizing compliance with legislation, policies, and service standards. As our Team Lead, Accounts Payable, you have nine direct reports. Your responsibilities include:
Manage staff according to the approved Human Resource Management framework, including recruitment, counselling, training, performance management, and planning.
Work collaboratively with other officers to provide advice, emphasizing strong customer relationships and unit performance.
Plan and allocate staff workload, prioritize tasks, and monitor completion within designated timeframes and service level agreements.
Maintain and assist in the development of accounting procedures, policies, and practices in line with best practices, Qld Health policies, and legislative requirements.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated:
Demonstrated working knowledge in the use of financial management information technology, and other software applications relevant to an Accounts Payable function.
Ability to research and review information to assist decision-making
Ability to set priorities, allocate and monitor workloads
Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to apply them in managing the daily operations of a team.
Proven effective consultative skills, including written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and procedures applicable to the Accounts Payable function
