A unique opportunity has become available for a talented Team leader to join a dynamic operations team on Day Shift in Dandenong South.

Reporting to the Production Manager the role of the Afternoon Team Leader includes the following responsibilities and objectives:

• Leading, training and supervising a team of production staff. Responsible for training staff in the Afternoon Shift including but not limited to; implement 5’s (sort), GMP, Safety, Line specific operations.
• Production scheduling and reporting
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and maintaining rigorous hygiene, and quality standards.
• Documenting and implementing standard operating procedures and improvements for production operation.
• Effectively managing production costs through continual review of operational improvement methods.
• Maintain the daily safety and quality of products and report any defects to production management for improvement.
• corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
• Ensures correct operation of equipment by identifying faults for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Resolves personnel problems by analysing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
• Managing shifts and attendance as required.
• Managing staff breaks within allocated times.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Contributes to team effort and achieve set KPI’s within allocated timeframe.

What you will need:

• Proven Team Leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
• Have a good command of bot written and spoken English is essential.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively.
• Strong work ethic, punctual with reliable transport
• GMP/QMS experience preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Decision making experience.
• Ability to plan.
• Intermediate computer literacy, specifically Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Able to pack products into boxes efficiently without causing damage.
• Coordinate closely with the Clean Room and have a clear understanding of what is required.
• Understanding of Packing operations and efficiencies is essential.
• A forklift license would be highly regarded.
