We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our Asphalt Crew within the City Works Division. You will utilise your experience in civil works to manage the work site operations in construction and maintenance of Council's infrastructure such as roads, cycleways and footpaths throughout the Local Government Area (LGA). You will also use your interpersonal and communication skills to provide excellent customer service and effectively lead and motivate the team.

Please also note that this position involves undertaking repetitive manual tasks and applicants should be suitably fit to undertake the duties as outlined in the job description. The possibility of overtime or weekend work may occur on occasion.
What you will be doing:
- Lead a small highly motivated team in the maintenance of council roads and footpaths.
- Coordinate and plan work requests
- Respond to customer requests
- Complete safety inspections and documentation
- Ordering of plant and materials
- Enter information in the field using a council issued tablet
- Work alongside construction crews to complete projects
About you:
- You are experienced in civil construction, maintenance and/or Asphalt.
- You are a positive Team Leader with extensive experience leading a team while delivering clear instructions and motivating teams to complete tasks to a high standard.
- You have a strong customer focus and utilise your high-level communication skills to successfully liaise with all stakeholders in a timely manner.
