• $119,390pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading

(increasing to $123,569pa effective 1 July 2024)
Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A) - Level 8 of EBA5 * 9-day fortnight

• 72.5-hour fortnight
• Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

About our opportunityIn this role you will take the lead in providing support and expert advice to internal and external stakeholders relating to Procurement Governance and probity, development of policy and procedures, consultancy and capability service to Council members and its clients.You will also:

• contribute to the active identification, development and implementation of strategic procurement opportunities
• lead and manage the development and implementation of best practice procurement policy, directives, frameworks procedures and guidelines
• lead, manage and provide expert advice on systems that support the procurement and contract management function.
• manage and develop procurement capability initiatives including procurement workshops and training across Council
• build a high performance, continuous improvement and customer focused team
• undertake designated procurement audit activities for Council and manage the implementation of audit action plans
