The Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) is a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise which operates Tasmania's personal injury motor accident insurance scheme. The scheme provides benefits, rehabilitation, lifetime support and manages the common law claims of people injured in motor vehicle accidents.About the role
We are seeking a strong people leader with experience in the Disability and Community and/or
insurance/finance sectors.
This is a Senior level position with an opportunity to enter our business with your industry
knowledge to provide leadership in this very important part of our organisation.As a Team Leader you will be responsible for:
- Leading a Team which manages MAIB's lifetime care and seriously injured clients.
- Identify, develop and implement proactive rehabilitation strategies, guidelines and training
continuous improvement * An experienced leader who may have experience in fields such as Allied Health,Rehabilitation, Disability and Community services, Finance or Insurance.The successful candidate may also likely have a: * High level of knowledge and understanding in claims management in particular in theDisability and Community and/or Insurance Sectors * Hands-on approach with experience in leading a small team (up to 6 staff)

- Ability and capacity to quickly acquire knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in both strategic and operational work
- Energy and drive to challenge the way we do things
- Leadership or management experience or qualifications.
- Claims/client management and/or portfolio experience in personal injury or a related field.
- A qualification in Allied Health, Rehabilitation, Business/Commerce or related field, and/or
- demonstrated experience in the Disability Community sector.
