About the role
CareSouth is seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Team Leader to lead our ICM Residential based service in the Illawarra region in a permanent, full-time role.
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager: Southern NSW, this pivotal role will be responsible for upholding the values of CareSouth, leading staff with collaboration and kindness, and advocating for positive outcomes for the young people in our care.
About you
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following criteria:
Essential * Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and
people with a disability. * Tertiary qualifications in Social Work/Welfare, Social Sciences, Disability or
equivalent. * Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within the OOHC, Disability
Services or Community Services sector. * Proven flexibility, adaptability and able to respond and adjust easily to
change in work demands. * High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of the ongoing effects of injuries, trauma and/or neglect and abuse.
- Proven effective interpersonal, conflict negotiation and resolution skills and to
- Willing to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a (NSW) Working with
Vulnerable People Card (ACT).
Desirable * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role (OOHC, Disability, Community services sector would be desirable).
- Experience in change management and conflict resolution.
- Previous experience in a relevant field working on the frontline with children and/or families.
