About the Team Join our dynamic Technical Advisory Branch within the Operations and Support Division. We're dedicated to providing specialised technical, clinical, and operational advice to address complex and novel cases within the organisation. Our team plays a crucial role in ensuring that participants receive tailored support aligned with legislation and policies, driving consistency and excellence in decision-making processes.
About the Role As an APS6 Technical Advisory, you will be instrumental in offering detailed technical, professional, and policy support to tackle complex challenges within the organisation. Your responsibilities will encompass providing expert advice, contributing to strategic planning and policy development, and managing sensitive conversations associated with funding approvals. This role may also involve leadership and management duties, requiring effective prioritisation and team coordination.
Provide subject matter expertise through coaching and mentoring, guiding stakeholders on the most suitable supports to achieve participant outcomes.
Manage sensitive conversations and situations related to funding approval processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders, delegates, partners, and providers to ensure consistent decision-making and successful outcome attainment.
Deliver high-quality written and verbal advice while maintaining meticulous record-keeping standards.
About you To thrive in this role, you need:
Applicants must possess qualifications in any of the following areas: Occupational Therapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Registered Nursing (eligibility for AHPRA registration required), Social Work, Mental Health Practitioners and Specialist Behavioural Support Practitioners.
Deep understanding and expertise in one or more relevant fields, allowing for comprehensive assessment and recommendation of supports tailored to individual participant needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
Must be an Australian Citizen.
