The Role
This pivotal role focuses on enhancing underwriting processes, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the strategic development of reports. You will play a key role in merging technical expertise with analytical insights to streamline operations and improve decision-making within the underwriting department.
The Duties
- Assisting in the management and reporting of client premiums.
- Addressing and solving complex underwriting issues, including the preparation of appeals.
- Negotiating to secure competitive underwriting rates through effective networking.
- Participating in the underwriting process with tasks such as premium forecasting and risk assessment.
- Generating feasibility studies and renewal reports for clients.
- Updating and maintaining accurate wage declarations for insurers.
- Supporting the development of comprehensive reports for senior management on various national projects.
- Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards and leveraging market experience to strategically place underwriting premiums with chosen insurers.
- $80,000 - $125,000 + Super

- Solid understanding of Workers Compensation underwriting and current premium calculation tools.
- Knowledge in multi-state Workers Compensation or General Insurance highly regarded
- Knowledge of LPR model
- Proactive and a natural relationship builder, with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a team-oriented approach, and a client-centric focus.
- Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer use and familiarity with systems like Winbeat and Excel.
