All about the role
We are looking for a full time Technical Business Analyst to join us in our Sydney office and be responsible for working with the global tech team together with the functional leaders of our Australian business to bring new technology features to the Menulog platform as well as collating requirements from Menulog stakeholders and pushing Australian recommendations to the global tech team for prioritisation.
The key responsibilities of the role will include:
PRODUCT AND TECH COORDINATION
Gain a comprehensive understanding of all things relating to product and tech in Menulog, including: the technology platform, supporting teams, road maps and user journeys/stories
Gather and analyse requirements and break down complex problems into coherent features, products and projects and liaise with the global tech team for implementation/resolution
Validate and at times also facilitate product testing/analysis of defects and new features as they rollout and recommend appropriate solutions
Communicate to the Australian stakeholders any platform issues, upcoming features, designs and platform changes for smooth implementation
BUSINESS OPTIMISATION
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the commercial imperatives of each commercial activity and proactively seek opportunities to uncover actionable opportunities to generate incremental commercial value
Identify pain-points, unearth their root causes and help to deliver effective solutions to improve the performance of the Menulog platform and supporting teams
Proactively seek out opportunities to improve business performance, fix issues and make recommendations to management
On an adhoc basis identify and document existing processes across a wide range of business functions
Where required lead improvement projects to from scoping to implementation
Skills, Experience and Attributes Required
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3 years working in a BA capacity, either as a BA, continuous improvement specialist or project/product/delivery manager
Relevant tertiary level qualification in business, IT or engineering
Experience working with tech teams using a range of Agile delivery methodologies and are comfortable working with a wide range of applications such as Jira, Salesforce, Tableau and BigQuery
Can demonstrate exposure to a broad range of commercial functions, such as Finance, Sales, Operations or Marketing
Can demonstrate experience working across a wide range of stakeholders, both local and international
SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES
Is proactive, ambitious and self motivated who can correctly prioritise energy and company resources toward the most impactful and important tasks
Are comfortable the working remotely with teams in Europe/UK and in North America, and can be flexible with hours to accommodate time zones
Has fundamental SQL skills and are able to run simple queries and conduct simple data analysis
Can demonstrate outstanding analytical ability, commercial instincts as well as having a good grasp of the “big picture”
Has exceptional communication skills and are able to clearly articulate and document concepts, processes and ideas to the widest possible audience
Has exceptional stakeholder management and relationship skills, and has proven the ability to develop valuable relationships within local and remote teams
Best suits a person with a bright, personable and naturally curious personality
