The Role

The Technical Consultant is primarily responsible for partnering with clients to provide strategic guidance and solution design regarding technology, security, IT service management and infrastructure.

Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 5 years experienced in the design, implementation and delivery of complex Data Centre/Public Cloud solutions
• Excellent business communication skills 
• Understanding of the Modern app space – e.g. Kubernetes, Public Cloud Dev-Ops 
• In-depth knowledge and experience in project management, service delivery and change management methodologies i
•  Knowledgeable in multi-sourcing concepts and how to create services that align with a client’s use of modern outsourcing. 
• Experienced in forming new and enduring matrixes of teams focused on clear common objectives, client delivery and business results

Essential Skills:

• Excellent presentation and communication skills; 
• Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to converse with those at the C-Suite level and IT Managers; 
• Ability to develop, write and review complex customer facing documents including proposals and technical documentation; 
• Specialize in a technical area of data centre and service provider solutions, 
• Expert level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio)

Technical Skills: 

• Data Centre, Public Cloud (Azure and AWS) solution, design, implementation and documentation 
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, consultation management and management of business risk.
• Strong understanding of client business transformation approaches 
• Executive level interpersonal and communication skills 
• Superior analytical and presentation skills. 
   

Tasks & responsibilities

The Technical Consultant is required to deliver end user experience in Data Centre/Public Cloud including: 

• Architect, design and delivery.
• Seek out and analyze customer requirements to determine the best solution for a client’s business problems. 
• Conduct user requirement analysis and make recommendations that impact technical solutions. 
• Undertake tasks requiring analysis of multiple technical alternatives, diagnosis and problem solving, then qualifying the product/service fit and defining support needs. 
• Define major technical solutions involving product, deployment and/or support services for clients.
• Manage client expectations prior to delivery of major solutions, strategies and architectures.
• Write and shape technical responses and proposals to meet client requirements.
• Provide demonstrations, presentations, training, consultation and sales support services for the Sales team, clients and customer support. 
• Assist with the preparation of content for marketing material and documentation.
