We are looking for an enthusiastic technologist passionate about contributing to the delivery of SaaS software that customers love to use. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working with our clients and a cross-functional global team to design, build and roll out our SaaS based products in the Education business domain.
Ideally, you will be based in Melbourne, but we also encourage suitable interstate candidates to apply.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the Product Development team through:
- Software development and coding, resolving bugs & building new features and tools,
- Researching ways to solve problems technically,
- Contributing to the product technical roadmap by drawing on the technical domain knowledge you have acquired,
- Contributing innovative ideas to improve customer experience,
- Research to discover disruptive, innovative opportunities and improve user experiences,
- Automating the boring stuff.
- Identify and document technical requirements and enhancements as Epics or User Stories.
- Be able to translate technical concepts into business value propositions.
- Support delivery through assisting in Data Migration analysis and troubleshooting.
- Support customers via the support portal to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Contribute to technical design workshops with leading educational institutions to streamline delivery.
- Contribute to client project delivery planning.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal development processes.
About You:
- You have the following skills and capabilities:
- Exposure to the software development lifecycle, including version control, CI/CD, etc.
- Exposure to Configuration Management.
- Willing to learn customer-facing technical consulting skills, develop presentation skills.
- Awareness, knowledge or experience with Agile management tools and methodologies such as Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
- Willingness to learn or have experience in a mix of Technology skills. We don’t expect you to know everything, but this is what we are involved in:
- DB technologies: Oracle DB (19c) SQL, PL/SQL, Apex
- Backend: Java, Python
- Front end: Angular, JavaScript
- Integration: OpenAPI, Swagger, JSON, Integration Platforms (WS02, Mulesoft, etc.)
- Search Technologies: Solr
- Cloud Platform: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Networking/Security (Oracle Cloud/Kubernetes)
- Source Control: Git/BitBucket
- DevOps Tools: Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)
- Ability to acquire or use existing skills in the technical analysis and resolution of issues. Some examples are Python, SQL, and various scripting languages.
- Qualifications in software engineering or similar are a must.
- 3+ years of experience or work experience in software engineering or similar
- Highly motivated, focused, and disciplined self-starter.
- You enjoy working flexible hours and can accommodate communication across different time zones.
- Ability to work within a growing distributed team.

- Fluent in English, written and oral.
