Job description

Our client, a leading distributor in the outdoor/adventure industry are looking for a technically minded Support Specialist to ably assist their clients and service agents.

Our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. Priding themselves on commitment to excellence are looking for a dynamic and motivated Customer Technical Support Specialist to join the team. Full training will be offered to the right person with the right skill set.

Key Responsibilities -

Technical Support:

  • Handle calls/emails from service agents and consumers regarding technical inquiries and issues.
  • Analyze warranty claims and initiate contact with service agents as necessary for resolution.

Service Agent Management:

  • Assess current service agents and evaluate applications from new ones.
  • Monitor fees and charges from service agents, ensuring compliance with company standards.

Support Materials Distribution:

  • Distribute and update technical support USB thumb drives as needed.
  • Send out service bulletins to service agents for new products, parts, or procedures.

Training and Reporting:

  • Provide training for new service agents.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and yearly reports on warranty claims and faults, highlighting trends for proactive action.

Returns and Documentation:

  • Coordinate returns of parts for further testing as per weekly reports.
  • Assist in proofreading owner's manuals, modifying parts listings, and distributing service manuals.

Factory Audits and Test Kits:

  • Conduct factory audits as required and manage the development and repair of test kits.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in customer technical support or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in refrigeration mechanics or similiar is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle/NetSuite will be advantageous.

Additional Information:

  • Travel may be required for factory audits and events.
  • Training will be provided.
