Role
You will be responsible for developing and implementing delivery plans, defining project scope, establishing milestones, acceptance criteria and timelines for multiple initiatives, big and small, running concurrently. In addition, you will be required to identify and manage risks, provide contingency plans, and ensure the many teams under your purview, are meeting their respective deadlines. Naturally, communication is crucial in any delivery centric role thus, you will bring to bear superior interpersonal skills, acting as an information conduit for several technical teams across Software Engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, business side teams such as traders and administration and finally external clients including financial exchanges.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Project / Delivery Manager.
- A strong understanding of project management principles and Agile methodology.
- Ideally have a solid background in Software Engineering / architecture.
- Experience within a high performance, low latency dependant environment such as a Trading Firm or the financial markets arm of a big bank.
- Polished Communication and Interpersonal skills along with a can-do attitude.
- A history of good tenure in your career history (e.g., 4+ years average).
- Bachelor’s, master’s or PhD level degree in computer science or mathematics.
This role would be suited for someone with a strong Software Engineering / development background who has progressed to a technical leadership position with a heavy project / delivery focus, within a Trading Firm or financial markets arm of a big bank.
