Who are we looking for? We're looking for a
Technical Director - Power Systems
to join our Generator Connection Studies Team within the Regulation & Assurance Business Group. This role can be located in either Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne or Sydney. This role will assist the transition to renewable energy across Australia. If you have a passion for Future Energy, this is an ideal career opportunity.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Managing the portfolio of generator connection studies projects being undertaken by the national power system planning and connection studies team.
Directly influencing the commercial performance of the team by working to ensure assignments are adequately scoped and priced, scope and quality are appropriately managed during the delivery phase and where necessary variations are sought from our clients.
Supporting the development of the generator connection studies business, with a priority focus on the power sector in Australia and New Zealand.
Working across the Advisory business and contributing to projects across the business to support with shaping service offerings for our clients.
What you will bring to the team:
Bachelor degree qualified, preferably in Electrical engineering.
Experience in project management and proficiency in a structured project management framework, policies, and procedures.
Goal-oriented and a problem-solving mindset coupled with the ambition to develop.
Ability to adapt to change and confidence to work effectively in a high-energy, fast-moving environment.
Good interpersonal skills - relates well to colleagues, clients and business contacts, and can influence to achieve positive results.
Assertiveness / willing to take the initiative - drives projects forward proactively, makes things happen, has a "can do" attitude and presents possible solutions.
Understanding of the generator connection process in the NEM. Detailed knowledge of power system analysis is essential.
