Title: Technical Instructor - Electrical

The Role
We are looking for Electricians, Electrical Fitters or Refrigeration Mechanics who are interested in becoming Electrical Instructors. This is a great opportunity for individuals to provide high quality trade related education and technical training services to RAN & RAAF Electronic and Marine Technicians.
As an Electrical Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering training to a group of people and then assessing them on their knowledge. This role will see you be involved in the design and development of new courseware and the continuous improvement of current courses. This role requires you to work as part of the delivery team, but also work autonomously, at times, to deliver outputs to the Defence client.
Please note: We have permanent, part-time & casual positions available.
Responsibilities:
Deliver various Electrical fundamental courses across installation assembly and disassembly, electrical systems diagnosis and/or repair
Prepare for training delivery including pre and post course administration
Contribute to the continuous improvement of current courseware
Design and develop course curricula for training delivery in accordance with the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
Essential:
Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience within an Electrical trade
Trade qualification certificate of one of the following
A Grade Electrician
Refrigeration Mechanic
Electrical Fitter
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to follow process & procedures
Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
Desirable:
Motor control and PLC programming experience
Qualification in Training and Assessment (CERT IV equivalent)
Industrial or Defence sector experience
Currently holds or can obtain an security clearance
