An great opportunity for a highly motivated and results oriented Technical Internal Sales Representative to join our Perth team. You will play an integral role in contributing to the success of our business within a supportive team.
You will continue building the technical capability of our sales activities to support our clients and grow revenue. You will need to demonstrate technical acumen with a strong working knowledge of valves, actuation & control, customer focus and sales ability. In addition. You will be:
- Understanding the customers’ business and determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions;
- Preparing quotations, assimilation of costs, technical compliance, assessment of margins – to ensure the submission of the best commercial and technical bid to win the order
- Carrying out negotiations with clients to assess their needs, tailoring all bids and tenders to suit customer demand
- Ensuring that sales orders are entered in line with agreed procedure and that supplier sub orders reflect the project technical and delivery schedule requirements
- Liaising with suppliers, clients and attend client visits to follow up and secure bids as required
- Troubleshoot/ problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to management
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Sound technical sales experience - product knowledge of piping, fittings and valves is desirable
- Engineering background – ideally mechanical or structural
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written, and proven track record of working to tight deadlines
- Flexible committed attitude and positive approach, punctual and reliable
- Preferred experience with SAP or similar in-house ERP system
