They are looking for a Service Technician to join their team in Thomastown. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, installation and testing of our range of mobility equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Perform maintenance and repairs for a range of mobility equipment ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Document service work by creating clear and concise reports detailing the service performed, including repairs made and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades.
- Manage van stock by keeping track of inventory and replenish stock as needed to ensure the availability of spare parts and tools for efficient service delivery.
- Maintain your company vehicle, ensuring it is clean and well-maintained for a professional appearance during service visits.
- Ensure safety and product quality through following safety guidelines and company policies to maintain the safety and integrity of serviced products.
- Provide product expertise and stay updated on product knowledge across the equipment range and offer valuable insights and recommendations to customers.
- Resolve customer issues and/or concerns promptly and professionally, aiming for their satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth coordination of service activities.
Desired skills and experience:
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and resolve issues.
- Electro-mechanical and/or Biomedical background preferred, but not required.
- Required experience in mechanical, electrical, or technical repair.
- Preferably, 2 years or more of field experience, healthcare or service-related sector would be highly desirable.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional professional customer service.
- Ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Proficiency in reading and working with company service manuals and guides.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
- Strong time management and punctuality skills.
- Desire to work in a supportive, collaborative, and enjoyable team setting.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
