The role will be a fixed term contract.
Key Outcomes of Role:
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical direction to ensure the successful development of complex software projects.
- Architectural Design: Collaborate with architects and product managers to design and document technical specifications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability across all products.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines. Ensure code quality and testing procedures are followed.
- Technical Strategy: Contribute to the development of the technical roadmap, making informed decisions about technology stack, tools, and frameworks.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Problem Solving: Provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems and troubleshoot issues.
- Product Management: Collaborate closely with the product management team to plan, estimate, and deliver increments of value on time and within budget.
- Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and code documentation.
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- At least 10 years of proven experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with agile methodologies and familiarity with version control systems and collaboration tools.
- Must have a National Police Clearence
