The Liquid Technical Services (LTS) division of Cleanaway services much more than your standard collection of household waste, it opens an abundance of opportunities. Our team supports the collection, treatment, processing, and recycling of liquid and hazardous waste, including industrial waste, grease trap waste, oily waters and used mineral and cooking oils in packaged and bulk forms.
The Opportunity
This pivotal role focuses on driving excellence in environmental risk management, compliance, and continuous improvement at our Bulk Liquids treatment site at South Windsor, NSW.
Additionally, you will also be responsible for
- Contributing to the development of standards and key controls for the management of critical health, safety and environmental risks associated with the site
- Executing policies, programs and initiatives ensuring continuous improvement and excellence in health, safety and environmental risk management
- Driving the environmental component of non-routine EPA licence amendment applications, variations and works approval
- Supporting the development of health, safety and environmental Strategy and delivery of local plans
- Ensure compliance to the internal inspections and audit schedules, supporting external audits
- Monitor training records, organise and manage training sessions in line with Cleanaway values and risk management initiatives.
About You
Your inherent technical knowledge, passion for continuous improvement and your desire to problem solve will contribute to your success in this role. As will your ability to partner with, build and maintain genuine working relationships with operational teams.
Also, you will possess.
- A qualification in chemical engineering, science or a relevant discipline.
- An understanding or experience working with landfill, gas, hazardous liquids, stormwater, etc.
- Prior experience within high-risk heavy industry environments
- Demonstrated incident investigation and route cause analysis.
- Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing safe work practices.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft suite.
