Job description

Energy Queensland is hiring a Technical Support Business Analyst, in the Network Operations group, to be located at either Brisbane, Rockhampton or Townsville.

The Network Operationsgroup operates 24/7, overseeing a variety of tasks such as monitoring network alarms, managing planned and emergency HV and LV network access, and promptly responding to emergency services and Network outages. The Technical Support Business Analyst is responsible for reporting, analytical functions, and administrative support for the Network Operation Enablement department.

About your new role:

Reporting: The role is accountable for the department-level collection of system and team data and reporting obligations. It also involves developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient data analysis. Enabling leaders and their teams to meet performance, team, and customer objectives.

Analytical Functions: The role includes an analytical review of data to derive information to support performance, customer, and team objectives. It also involves identifying and providing recommendations for process and document improvements. Developing statutory and process risk mitigation strategies and managing information and confidentiality requirements across the organisation.

Administrative Support: This role involves managing and coordinating internal and external communication channels, including customer meetings, stakeholder updates, and online documents. It also includes maintaining SharePoint and online department data, documents, processes, and policies. Administering and supporting small project teams to plan, design, and implement innovative solutions.

About you:

As a Technical Support Business Analyst, you’ll have excellent analytical skills to develop and produce reports to extract useful data for the Network Operations team using tools like Microsoft Power BI.

Your experience will include:

• Knowledge of Data Quality standards, and experience in applying best practise Data Quality principles and methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability in establishing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• High level of computer literacy, data mining skills and ability to maintain knowledge to current.

• High level analytical and communication skills to review information, data, reports, and communication to make recommendations and improvements.

• Strong understanding of the operation and network control imperatives within the electricity distribution industry.

Essential Selection Criteria include:

• Degree in business, business analytics, information technology, (or related discipline), and/or demonstrated relevant working experience.

The remuneration for your new role is from $95,888 - $138,952 plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $110,750 - $157,015 plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.
