About the Role:
We are looking for applicants who have a demonstrable capability in Technical Support and a basic understanding of I.T, networking or cellular communication. The Technical Support Technician primarily supports the Technical Support Department, and on occasions Logistics. Indicative tasks include testing of units prior to sale or following warranty claim for multiple brands, firmware updates to units, Level 1 Support ticket resolution, updating documentation, registering units, data entry tasks, monitoring customer networks, and peripheral devices.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Responsible for Level 1 Support tickets resolved as per Support guidelines and in required timeframes
- Problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Efficient testing of warranty claims according to SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Positive contributor to Network Operations Centre - internal and external support
- Experience in a Technical Support Environment, using Zen Desk is desirable
- Troubleshooting faults and communicating resolution / required action with key stakeholders
- Well versed in domestic telecommunications products and terminology through personal use, is essential
- Cert III Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications or similar qualification
