Job Description- Experience and deep understanding of databases and analytics, including cloud databases, relational databases, data warehousing, and transforming this data with SQL and Python.
- Must-have platform competency and expertise required, are in AWS (Glue, CloudFormation), dbt, and Snowflake.
- Expert in both with SQL and Python.
- Experience with source control (git), deployment / continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins), and cloud infrastructure-as-code (e.g. CloudFormation)
- Prior experience in design, implementing, and/or supporting a large Data Warehouse environment.
- Prior experience building cloud data pipelines, either on AWS (Glue, Kinesis, etc.)
- Prior data modelling experience (at least one of Kimball or Data Vault, ideally exposure to both)
- At least some exposure to PowerBI, building reports and visualisations consuming data from Snowflake
- Extensive prior use of at least one ETL/ELT tool (at least one of dbt, Matillion, or Alteryx)

- A sound working knowledge of existing, new, and emerging data trends - and the benefits derived from these.
- Clear understanding and ability to articulate the interplay between business needs and our proposed data & analytics project design and requirements.
- Collaboration, communication, presentation, problem solving, interpersonal, consulting, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills to build relationships at all levels.
- A broad, enterprise-wide view of business operations, and experience using a variety of persuasion strategies to demonstrate to non-technical client stakeholders, that our proposed technical solution will deliver their required business outcomes.
