This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has extensive experience working in Insurance - ideally focused on the property and/or liability space - who can also demonstrate prior knowledge of the underwriting and/or claims process, specifically aligned to policy wordings tasks.
A bit about the job:
Aviva's Commercial Technical Wordings team is growing, and we now have a need for a Technical Underwriter , who will be integral to supporting Aviva's ambitions for profitable growth and technical excellence. You will ensure policy wording process capability by writing, managing and updating our insurance policy contracts, ensuring that you also understand the impact this has on our customers. Showcasing strong regulatory and legislation knowledge, as well as knowledge of the financial issues relevant to the Insurance industry, will be key - so you can complete tasks to the highest standard, tailoring our products according to customer needs and demands.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
Strong technical knowledge within the Insurance industry, matched with the ability to produce contract policy wordings and endorsements
Understanding of the impact and requirements of relevant regulatory bodies and legislation on the insurance industry and trends within the market
Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with wider business successfully
Solution orientated, with the ability to think and act long term both strategically and operationally
Team player with the ability to successfully collaborate across the Commercial Lines business
