AddressOur client’s core business is to provide Integrated Logistic Support, Project Management and Systems Engineering expertise to Government and Industry in support of the acquisition and sustainment of equipment and systems through all phases of the material life cycle. Our client has practical experience in the generation and review of platform configuration management and technical publications.
Your responsibilities
- Technical Writing – Creating clear, concise and accurate technical documents, such as user manuals, maintenance guides, and specifications, for hardware, software, and systems.
- Research – Gathering information from subject matter experts, engineering teams and other sources to ensure the accuracy of technical content.
- Content Review – Reviewing and editing technical documents to ensure they adhere to quality standards, are free from errors and are comprehensible to the intended audience.
- Version Control – Managing and updating documentation to reflect changes, improvements and/ or new developments in system and equipment technology and procedures.
- Document Organisation – Organising information logically and in a manner that is easy to access and reference for operations and maintenance personnel.
- Collaboration – Collaborating with engineers, project managers and other stakeholders to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
- Compliance – Ensuring that technical documentation complies with government regulations, industry standards (e.g. S1000D and S2000M) and security protocols.
- Graphics and Visuals – Incorporating diagrams, illustrations and other visuals to enhance the clarity and comprehensibility of documents.
- Document Maintenance – Continuously updating and revising documentation to reflect evolving technologies and best practices.
- Security and Classification – Understanding and adhering to security protocols and classifications related to system documentation.
- Quality Assurance – Conducting quality control checks to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of technical documents.
Your experience - Essential
- Experience in working with and interpreting engineering data in support of the creation of technical publications.
- Experience in writing quality documents for operational and engineering activities.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office environments.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in publication (Defence) authoring (operational and maintenance)
- Experience authoring in accordance with S1000D and/or S2000M
- Technical background
- Ability to travel interstate when required
- Security Clearance.
