Technician Installers and Factory Workers

NU STYLE SHUTTERS specialises in HOME IMPROVEMENT products such as Roller Shutters, Outdoor Blinds, Security Products and Louvre Shutters.

We are currently looking for Technician Installers and Factory Workers to join our business located in Malaga, WA.

The role and responsibilities will require a mix of duty between Factory and Installation Department including:

• Manufacturing and assembling of shutters and blinds with minimal supervision of the Factory Manager.
• Using a variety of machinery and manual processes to assemble products efficiently. 
• Understanding and using of machinery to cut materials and fabrics to specified measurements.
• Handling metal parts around the workshop.
• Lifting, drilling, using ladders and working outdoors.
• Driving motor vehicle following directives from the scheduling department.
• Assisting to install shutters and blinds into customer’s house.
• Customer service focus.
• Maintaining logbook records.

The job will be full time, with hours to be worked between 6.45 am and 3.20 pm Monday to Friday. You may be requiring working overtime as and when required.

Preferred skills

• Prior experience in a similar role (Industry experience – manufacturing & assembling of blinds and shutters)
• Experience in fitting, fixing, carpentry and glacier would be an advantage. 
• Ability to pay attention to details and follow instructions accurately.
• Understanding and commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Be organised and meet production requirements. 
• Multi-tasking and time management.
• Willingness to work in various areas of the factory.
• Ability to foster positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Communication and organisational skills
• Good physical conditions to lift and move shutters & blinds.

It will advantageous if you possess a driving, forklift license and a white card. You may also be required to produce a police clearance in the event you are selected.
