About the role
Are you a skilled professional with a passion for delivering top-notch technical solutions? SA Water is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Technology team as a Technology Network Engineer. Be part of a mission to provide sustainable and healthy water services to the community.
SA Water is at the forefront of delivering world-class water services to South Australia. As a Technology Network Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our IT data network and communications assets meet business needs.
In this role, you will deliver technical expertise, proactive management, and optimization of SA Waters IT data network and communications assets. Join us in our commitment to providing exceptional services to our customers.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
- Administer, support, and troubleshoot IT network assets, including Routing, Switching, Wireless, Firewalling, Load Balancing, and more.
- Regularly evaluate and manage production procedures, monitor network performance, and improve the resilience of network infrastructure assets.
- Monitor and report on the capacity of IT network and communications, manage upgrades with minimal disruption, and optimize network assets for business process improvements.
- Continually improve services, manage vendors to agreed SLAs, and drive innovation to enhance effectiveness.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- University degree in computer science, engineering, or management, or equivalent experience.
- Effective communication skills to establish positive working relationships.
- Proven experience in enterprise network operational support
- Cisco (CCNA) qualification is advantageous
- Expert analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills in a technology environment.
- High degree of flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience of managing network administration and support using industry standard processes (ITIL).
- Knowledge of network technologies such as Routing, Switching, Wireless, Firewalls, Load Balancing, VPNs, and more.
