How will I help?

The Technology Program Director is an important role within Consumer Digital Technology team that oversees technology related programs and initiatives within the organization. You will be managing a team of 6 Senior Project Managers and 1 Project Manager, with the possibility of expansion. 

  • Drive program level planning efforts, identifying and handling critical program level dependencies and facilitate cross-project collaboration.
  • Validate lifecycle methodology of various projects and ensure alignment and aggregation of critical data to enable tracking and reporting.
  • Review the program scope as created by multiple Project/Account Managers against the client acceptance criteria at the program level.
  • Review operational parameters which impact the bottom-line for the program to track performance against expected margins.
  • Review and monitor all phases of the project on a regular basis and suggest corrective actions.
  • Delivery Lead across key pillars including Scheme Compliance, Risk & Compliance, and Unite

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will need experience operating in a large organization across the complex portfolio projects. Having experience in stakeholder and line management is essential. In addition to this, your skills may include:

  • Track record in successfully leading and delivering large and complex projects / programs:
    • Indicative cost above $20M
    • Program/project duration > 12 months 
    • Teams typically > 50 resources
    • Program/project Impact: High
    • Program/project Risk: High
    • Multiple sub projects / streams
    • Multiple end deliverables (complex)
    • Multiple business areas affected
    • Multiple external partners and/or critical reliance 
    • Multiple interdependencies
    • Ambiguous, high risk, volatile program
    • Program which drives transformational changes 
  • Extensive experience within projects / programs with (minimum 3 years at Program Manager / Project Director level)
  • Substantial experience working in a large and complex organisation in the financial services industry
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Certified Practicing Project Director (via AIPM) and/or Program Management Professional (via PMI) and/ or Managing Successful Program (MSP) accreditation desirable or internal training mandatory.
