About the role:
Future Fuels & Carbon team is responsible for identifying, developing and executing on a pipeline of hydrogen, carbon offset and other renewable fuel opportunities to support the realisation of Origin's strategy.
The Technology & Value Optimisation Analyst is responsible develop the technology and Value Optimisation analysis tools and lead the analysis across the Future Fuels & Carbon business unit.
Responsibilities
- Support technology selection and application through leading analysis of technology and Value Optimisation options
- Support Development & Delivery teams with process optimization, sizing and selection of equipment, costing, plant layout using value optimization principles
- Support range of technology and value optimistaion services as required: master-planning, strategy, advisory, scoping, concept development and screening, basic and detailed design, feasibility studies, FEED, EPCm and Owners Engineering services
- Interact with external vendors, OEMs, and other stakeholders to undertake assessments, resolve enquiries for budget pricing
- Work within an integrated team: renewables, transmission, BESS, hydrogen production-compression-storage, hydrogen transmission and blending, power to X, end user support
- Develop conceptual schemes and studies, capital and operational expense modeling, LCOE, LCOH, LCOS and other cost analysis
Essential requirements:
- Degree qualification in Business, Engineering or a related discipline
- Highly capable of creating and modifying Excel financial and economic models
- Experience with software modeling packages to support the modeling of emerging fuel systems to determine techno-economic feasibility and support the design process including facilities and pipelines
- Demonstrated experience exercising judgment to determine appropriate course of action and prepare recommendations based on sound data analysis
- Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written), people and interpersonal skills
- Experience in renewable fuels including hydrogen and its vectors
