Position
NHOA Energy is recruiting a Techsales Engineer to join NHOA's engineering department at our Australia office and to contribute on the development of Battery Energy Storage System projects in Australia and Oceania.
The Techsales Engineer is responsible for managing all the technical aspects of the proposals and acts as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners' technical teams.
Tasks and Duties
General Responsibilities
  • Preparation of technical project deliverables and informative documentation for internal and external use;
  • Planning and coordination of the tasks in a time/resources effective manner and with a client-oriented approach;
  • Coordination of the project team under the supervision of the Head of Techsales Australia;
  • Interface with technical department of the key stakeholders, including the customer and suppliers;
  • Monitoring of proposal progress in compliance with customer requirements, sector regulations, quality and standards.
Project Responsibilities
  • The Techsales Engineer is responsible for drafting the technical package of the commercial proposals collaborating with the Business Development Manager (“BDM”) and being the main point of contacts of other departments (Design Engineering department; R&D department; Logistic Office; Procurement Office; Project Management Office)
  • Analysis of the technical package of the bid documentation;
  • Identification of the list of requirements from the technical package;
  • Definition of the list of project deliverables as requested in the tender documentation;
  • Sizing of the main equipment of the BESS;
  • Preparation of technical specifications and inputs for other departments or suppliers.
  • Definition of layouts and technical deliverables supported by Design Engineering Department.
  • Preparation of project budget and technical offer.
  • Analysis of compliance with local standard and regulations during proposal preparation
Requirements
Ideal Candidate
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or similar (Energy, Mechanical..)
  • 3-5 years experience in renewables energy field
  • Knowledge of Australian Energy Markets, National Transmission Network and related stakeholders (e.g. AEMO, NSPs, ARENA, …);
  • Knowledge of the NER - Chapter 5 and the Generator Performance Standards process;
  • Experience in Australian electrical design codes, including relevant standards and regulations;
  • Permanent work permit in Australia
Nice to have (if any):
  • Experience in the development of renewable energy projects, including interface with energy authority such as ARENA, AEMO and local TNSP
  • Experience with engineering documentation, such as Single Line diagrams, Schematics, Technical Specification, electrical components sizing
  • Experience in design of utility scale renewable projects (PV, Wind or Energy Storage), in the engineering department of Consulting or EPC companies;
  • Experience in the Electrical design of LV/MV systems, in particular Energy Storage Systems
  • 3-5 years experience as proposal engineer
Soft Skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills toward both internal and external stakeholders
  • Open-minded approach, capability to work in an international and multi-cultural team
  • Troubleshooting aptitude, problem solving orientation, quick adaptation to changes.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and plan tasks
Other information
Location: Perth (WA). In accordance with actual project needs, travel might be required during the development of the projects. Some short terms trips to HQ in Italy might be required.
