About the Job
Due to expansion in our industry, we are seeking an experience Telecommunication Technician with very strong radio equipment installation, integration, commissioning and troubleshooting skills to join our crew.
- Permanent, full-time position
- Be available to work Monday to Friday and at times over the weekend
- Depot located in Narangba QLD
- Working within Brisbane metro and regionally in QLD and across Australia
- Must be able to travel when required with notice
About You
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the industry
- Experience working on Telstra, Vodafone, Optus, Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia 2G/3G/LTE RBS/BTS equipment as well as Microwave radios
- Liaise with NOC team to clear alarms such as VSWR, RTWP etc
- Technically minded
- Able to go by client’s specifications, standards and HSE guidelines
- Appropriately skilled with MS applications including excel and word
Duties and Tasks
- Interpret client requirements, specification, and plans.
- Draw up design plans and all relevant technical documentation for approval.
- For each job undertaken, review all drawings and specifications to ensure clarity in relation to where and how connectivity and installation must take place.
- Ensure regulations for use of telecommunications and network equipment is clearly assessed and is accurately translated in the design and plan.
- Design best practice configurations of relevant telecommunication equipment, including hardware and software aspects in the design to deliver the necessary level of performance of each installation. Identify and specify the type and configuration of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines and other equipment to be used in each telecommunication installation plan.
- Identify risks and existing problems with the systems and incorporate improvements where applicable into the design of all installation plans.
- Develop and produce the necessary documentation to deliver integrity of plans, including filing all paperwork as outlined in client specification requirements.
- Work with field supervisors to direct and monitor field teams to ensure delivery of all contracted works to standard, timeline, and budget.
- Provide technical expertise in installation and configuration and commissioning of network equipment as required.
- Ensure adherence to client service standards as well as legislative (including OH&S) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Work with management to assist in providing accurate costing for each project/plan including costing of labour, fees, equipment, parts etc.

- Australian driver's license
- White card
- Telstra, Optus and Vodafone safety inductions
- RADHAZ Awareness
- Working at height
- Basic Rigging Ticket Preferable
- First aid & CPR
