Telecommunications Project Engineer

About the Role

Peter Networks Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Engineer to join our team based in Epping, Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Project Director you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a range of Telecommunications/Wireless projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer within our contracting company, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Efficiently managing, allocating, and coordinating resources, systems, and processes to ensure the successful completion of projects within specified timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Developing and managing staff to optimize their capabilities, ensuring adherence to project deadlines and effective communication with all team members.
3. Assessing the feasibility of proposed projects and coordinating the acquisition of necessary resources to achieve project objectives.
4. Overseeing the procurement and development of qualified resources required for project delivery.
5. Understanding and managing processes related to tenure agreements, environmental approvals, site design, and construction in compliance with relevant industry legislation, acts, and codes.
6. Ensuring timely completion of projects and providing regular updates to the Operations Director.
7. Identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to expand existing business relationships to drive company growth.
8. End-to-end site delivery and finance management with internal and external stakeholders.
9. Demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to achieving positive client outcomes and fostering effective stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:

1. Degree qualifications in telecommunications engineering.
2. Experience in the management and coordination of telecommunications IC services
3. Proven stakeholder management skills, preferably in projects aligned with NBN, Telstra or Optus.
4. Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Project Management role with proven delivery experience - Telecommunications projects
5. Experience with liaising with vendors, subcontractors and internal customers.
